A terrine is a coarse, country-style pâté typically made from seasoned meats, cooked slowly to develop a rich flavour, and served either sliced or spreadable. This particular terrine, hailing from Périgord, France, is made from locally sourced pork shoulder, pork meat and pork liver. The added ingredient to this terrine which gives it a distinct flavour is the walnuts from Périgord. Périgord walnuts have a rich, nutty flavour with a hint of sweetness and bitterness that complements the meaty flavour of the terrine.

Ideal for charcuterie boards, appetiser spreads, or simply enjoyed on its own spread on some French bread, this jar of farmhouse terrine with walnuts has a true taste of the Périgord countryside. You can also enjoy this terrine with cornichons, mustard, or a fruity chutney to balance out the richness of the terrine.
