Crafted with precision in mind, this cheese curler, often referred to as a Girolle cheese shaver, is the ideal tool for Tête de Moine cheese, renowned for its intricate cheese curls. Simply place the cheese, fresh from the refrigerator, on the curler’s pin, apply a gentle push, and turn clockwise to create delicate, golden-hued curls. We also offer a range of cheese tommettes from Agour, all suitable for this cheese curler.

This product features a sleek combination of plastic and stainless steel, not only adding an elegant touch but also making it easy to clean. When you’re finished using the product, it can go straight into the dishwasher.

Its versatility extends beyond cheese, allowing you to also effortlessly craft flawless chocolate curls. These curls add a refined touch to your baked creations, enhancing their flavour and appearance with every bite.

Specifications:

Product Dimensions: 235 x 253 x 60 mm / 9.25′ x 9.96′ x 2.36′.

Product Weight: 320 g / 0.71 lbs.

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut the Tête de Moine in two, wrap one half in cling film and place it back in cold storage. If the rind is greasy or sticky, leave your Tête de Moine AOP unwrapped in the refrigerator for one or two hours.

Step 2: Place the other half on a clean and even surface with the cut side facing down. Firmly push the spike of the Girolle held upside down through the centre of the cheese. Make absolutely sure you hold the Girolle base horizontally.

Step 3: Then flip your Girolle the right way round and press the cheese firmly down onto the steel grippers of the base, so that it cannot rotate while it is being shaved.

Step 4: Avoid pressing down too hard on the cheese when you turn the blade. For nicer rosettes, it is recommended to shave Tête de Moine AOP with a cheese curler straight out of refrigeration. Rosettes have to be packed immediately after shaving to prevent them from drying out. The fresher the better!

Step 5: If you keep Tête de Moine AOP chilled and protected under its cover and the other half wrapped in cling film, your cheese will retain its full flavour and will be ready to be used at any time.

We now stock a Boska replacement plastic dome cover for your Milano and Amigo cheese curlers. It’s a handy addition that preserves your cheese quality, creating a protective barrier for longer freshness.
