This jambonneau (ham hock confit) is made by traditional producer La Belle Chaurienne, based in beautiful Castelnaudary in the South of France. It has just four ingredients – ham hock, gelatine, salt and pepper – and it’s as delicious as it is simple.
The classic way to enjoy rich, meaty jambonneau is by pairing it with fresh French bread and a handful of tart cornichons. It’s perfect as an easy lunch or supper, or to share with friends as a starter. For best results, La Belle Chaurienne advise refrigerating this 360g jar of jambonneau for an hour before opening.
