These pure butter madeleine cakes are made by Louis Le Goff in Brittany, France. Moist and sweet, these madeleines are traditionally eaten in France dunked in your morning coffee, with tea in the afternoon or for afternoon snacks by children. Madeleines are little sponge cakes that have a distinctive shell-like shape thanks to being cooked in baking moulds in the shape of shells. Legend has it that the name comes from the cook who bake them for the first time.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, reconstituted concentrated butter 24% (colour: beta-carotene), sugar, whole eggs 21%, raising agents (wheat starch, diphosphates, sodium carbonates), dextrose, stabilizers: sorbitol’s – glycerol, salt, vanillin sugar.
