Boulette d’Avesnes 150g

Boulettes d’Avesnes is not your typical French cheese: it’s a bold, fiery treasure from northern France, shaped like a little cone and bursting with character. Hailing from the Avesnois region, near the Belgian border and made from cheese curds that have been crushed, then mixed with pepper and tarragon, this soft, crumbly cheese is rolled in paprika or annatto and finished with a vibrant red rind which is washed weekly with beer during its 3 months maturation.

Boulettes d’Avesnes carries layers of flavour in every bite. The texture is rich yet slightly grainy, and the taste? Spicy, tangy, and wonderfully pungent, with a kick that lingers on the palate. Serve it at room temperature to let the aromas fully awaken. It’s perfect after a hearty meal or sliced thinly over warm potatoes for a truly rustic, French-at-heart moment you won’t forget.

Ingredients: pasteurised cheeses (MILK) at different stages of maturation 88%, water 11.27%, tarragon 0.36%, pepper 0.36%, annatto: norbixin (E160b) 0.01%
