A classic French apero in minutes!
Looking for an easy, elegant French-style appetizer that’s full of flavour? Try making sardine rillettes, a simple yet delicious spread perfect for apéritif hour or as a starter. With just a few fresh ingredients and minimal prep, you can whip up this classic in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients:
- 2 tins of sardines (in olive oil), drained and central bones removed
- 100g Fromage Frais or cream cheese
- A small bunch of fresh chives, finely chopped
- A pinch of black pepper
- A touch of sea salt
- Capers
Instructions:
- Prepare the sardines: In a small mixing bowl, crumble the sardines with a fork, removing the central bones.
- Mix the ingredients: Add the fromage frais, finely chopped chives, a bit of pepper, and just a hint of salt. Mix everything thoroughly with a spatula until the texture is smooth and well combined.
- Chill & serve: Place the rillettes in the fridge for a short chill, then serve as a spread with your favourite bread and topped with capers. Perfect for sharing!
