Please note that these Morteau sausages are sent frozen, and while we take great care in shipping our products in an insulated envelope with an ice pack, we cannot guarantee that they won’t be delivered defrosted. If the sausages arrive chilled rather than frozen they should be placed in the fridge, cooked and consumed within 24 hours. Do not refreeze a defrosted product.

The Morteau sausage is a traditional smoked delicacy from the historic region of Franche-Comté in France, named after the town of Morteau. These uncooked sausages are smoked in “tuyés,” distinctive pyramidal chimneys, giving them their robust flavour and firm texture.
For the best experience, we recommend slicing and pan-frying to enhance their rich, smoky taste. Pair with sautéed potatoes and onions for a hearty, rustic meal.
