Large gache, 500g.

Gache is a type of French brioche, made with real butter and creme fraiche. It is shaped like a loaf and has a denser crumb than other brioche varieties. Its origins can be traced back to the Middle Ages, when each family created their own gâche for large festivals, particularly at Easter.

We always aim to send out products with the longest best before date possible, and you can expect 7-10 days as a minimum. Many of our fresh products will have a shelf life that exceeds this, so please get in touch if you’d like up-to-date information on our current stock.

Suitable for freezing – we recommend slicing it before putting it in the freezer.

Ingredients: WHEAT flour, BUTTER 9.5%, EGGS, CRÈME FRAICHE 5.5%, baking powder, salt, natural flavour (contains alcohol), gluten WHEAT, skimmed MILK powder, emulsifier E471, wine schnaps, MILK proteins, deactivated yeast, colouring (beta carotene).
