Enjoy the taste of Brittany with these traditional buckwheat galettes, also known as galettes bretonnes. Made with buckwheat flour (farine de sarrasin) a naturally gluten free flour, these savoury crepes have a rich, nutty flavour and a delicate, lacy texture, perfect for creating classic Breton recipes and Pancake day.

Ideal for both simple and gourmet fillings, these galettes pair beautifully with ham, cheese, eggs, smoked salmon, or sautéed vegetables. Whether you’re making a traditional galette complete (the classic recipe which combines sliced ham, grated Emmental, mushrooms and served with a fried egg on the top) or experimenting with new flavours, they provide a delicious and wholesome base.

Convenient and suitable for freezing, they’re always ready when you need them: simply reheat and fill with your favourite ingredients. Serve with green salad on the side, buckwheat pancakes are a great dish to enjoy all year round. Each pancake has a diameter of around 29cm.
