A stollen is a dense yet tender festive cake made from a yeast-based dough mixed with dried fruits. The dough is folded around a smooth almond marzipan core before baking, then lightly dusted with icing sugar to create its signature snowy finish.

Fortwenger’s Alsatian version combines finely chopped almonds with candied orange and lemon peel for a balanced, aromatic flavour. The cake’s texture is soft and slightly crumbly, with the marzipan adding a rich, moist contrast to the gently spiced dough.
